What is Beltane?
Beltane is the great fire festival — the moment the earth is fully awake and surging with life force. It sits opposite Samhain on the wheel, the midpoint between Spring Equinox and Summer Solstice. Where Ostara was about planting seeds and quiet potential, Beltane is about bold emergence — passion, creativity, sensuality, and the courage to bloom fully. It's a celebration of vitality, desire (in the broadest sense — what are you hungry for?), and the sacred union of opposites.

Your Questions, Answered
-
A sound bath is a deeply relaxing, meditative experience where you are bathed in the resonant tones of instruments such as crystal singing bowls, gongs, or chimes. You simply lie or sit comfortably and let the sound wash over you. No experience or musical ability is needed — many people find it one of the most grounding and restorative things they've ever tried.
-
Not even a little. We follow the Wheel of the Year, a seasonal cycle that honours the rhythm of nature. You don't need to hold any particular belief; an open heart and a willingness to be present is more than enough.
-
Beltane is an ancient Celtic fire festival celebrated on 1st May, marking the midpoint between the spring equinox and summer solstice — a moment of peak vitality, fertility, and light. In our circle, you can expect a gentle ritual honouring this seasonal shift: music, intention-setting, the sound bath, and communal celebration. It is a living, breathing ceremony, not a performance — you are part of it.

Absolutely no experience is needed, and first-timers are genuinely some of our favourite people to welcome. We'll guide you through everything on the day. The circle is a safe, supportive space — there's nothing to get right or wrong. If you're wondering what to bring or how the evening flows, take a look at the section below.
